A warm holiday greeting to all of our good customers and friends. It has been a year of much change for living history and reenacting, but we are indeed still here -- if you are in the Kansas City area at any time, do stop in and say "HI". We applaud all participants who stood up for living history and participated in events in spite of threats.
In case you have not heard, the Travel Channel program "Bizarre Foods" was in Clay County in late October, filming for an episode on the legend of Jesse James. They visited James Country a couple of times and we hope that some of that makes it into the episode when it airs. They also filmed at sites all around the Liberty area, with many reenactors participating. Watch for the episode sometime in early 2018, we hope.
James Country is also one of the major sponsors for a new documentary on the battle of Wilson's Creek and the evolution of the national park, near Springfield, MO. The PBS documentary is being produced by Ozark Public Television - and we hope it will be picked up by other PBS stations over the coming months. Keep your eyes open for that as well.
As our way of saying "Thank you" to all of our friends and customers, shipping on all orders except rifles and pistols is free from now thru December 31.
We wish you a truly Happy Hanukkah, a Merry Christmas, and a truly blessed 2018!!
